The River Teign is an impressive 30 miles long and winds its way down from Dartmoor to the sea at Teignmouth, Devon.

The river flows down a steep sided valley and meanders southwards along the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, until it meets the sea at the Teign Estuary.

It also has a designated shellfish water to ensure the water quality in the area is kept at an optimum level.
