Mussels

Keep in mesh bag or sealed tray provided.

If delivered in a mesh bag then place in a bowl and cover with a clean damp cloth.

Store in the fridge. Drain any water that collects in the bowl daily. These can be stored up to a few days.

Ensure they smell like the ocean prior to cooking.

Oysters

Store in your fridge.

Keep them covered with a damp cloth and flat side up to increase shelf-life.

If properly cared for oysters can live out of the water in their shell for around 4 - 5 days.

Clams and Cockles

Please refrigerate in the sealed containers provided until required. These can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. Ensure they smell fresh prior to cooking.

Brown and White Crab Meat

Keep refrigerated in the containers and consume within 5 days. Crab is suitable for  freezing.

Cooked Lobster

Refrigerate the lobster in the packaging provided until required. Properly stored, cooked lobster will last for 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.

Scallops

Store the scallops in the tubs provided in the fridge for 5-7 days. Ideally scallops should be cooked within a couple of days when they are at their freshest. 

Scallops are suitable for freezing.

Smoked Mussels and Oysters

Keep refrigerated and use by the date on the tub. Once opened, use within 3 days. Can be frozen and reheated. Defrost well before use if freezing.
